The weather is absolutely perfect today – mid 70s and sunny. It is almost like we are in CO. Clearly the only activity of choice is a hike. There are a series of interconnected trails in Newfoundland that make up the East Coast trail. We checked out the website and picked a trail on the northern part of the peninsula and set off.

The hike was spectacular. We walked through a wooded area and then came to this view.

We then climbed higher

And were treated to more stunning views.

It was a hike that we truly never wanted to end if we did not have to ensure we had enough leg power to get back to the car.
We treated ourselves to a “fine dining’ experience at Oliver’s upon our return. I ordered the seafood platter but was not able to eat all of it. What I did eat was great. Oliver’s is a small restaurant and reservations are highly recommended. Luckily for us we had reservations. While we were in the restaurant there was a steady stream of people that were turned away because there were no openings. What a great way to spend our last night in Newfoundland.

Can’t get a plate of food like that in Colorado
