8-26-19 Coastal Trail and Terra Nova National Park

What a glorious day!  The sun is shining and the Coastal trail await us.  We barely began the hike when we were greeted by these inviting Adirondack chairs.  This is our 2nd hike in Gros Morne that has those chairs.  How very civilized!

This hike winds along the coast with, of course, stunning views along the way.

The temperature was perfect – it may have been too hot if we were not next to the ocean, but breeze from the water acted as the perfect air conditioner.

Along the way, we saw this cute little cave made from tree branches.

The day before the car started making an intermittent whining noise – NOT GOOD.  After much deliberation we decided our best bet was to drive 400 miles across Newfoundland to St. John’s (the capital).  That was to be explored anyway and it happens to have the only Acura dealership in Newfoundland.

We were depressed as we left Gros Morne (because we loved it and because we were concerned about the car)

We have a noon appt for the car tomorrow so we decided that we would drive more than ½ way and stop at Terra Nova National Park.  We will not be here long, but at least we can say we stopped there and will have a nice wooded spot to camp for the night.
